Membership & Sponsorship

The South Hants Pony & Horse Protection Group needs your support to help us continue our work of rescuing and rehabilitating neglected, abused and unwanted horses and ponies within Hampshire.

We rely solely on voluntary donations and the help of volunteers.  We do not receive any Government or Lottery funding.

A way that you can help is to become a Member, or to Sponsor one of the residents at Oaklands.  Please read on to find out more.

Membership

Membership is a great way to support the South Hants Pony & Horse Protection Group!  It lasts for a year.

• Adult membership £12
• Junior (up to 18) membership £6
• Family membership £30 (2 adults & 2 children under 18)

As a member you will receive a newsletter 4 times during the year and a membership card.

Additionally you will be entitled to attend the AGM (Annual General Meeting) and encouraged to participate in matters relating to the organisation of the Group.

Sponsoring a pony

Sponsoring a pony can make a wonderful birthday or Christmas present, and for just £12 per year its a fantastic way of helping the charity.

The ponies you can sponsor are listed below, and when sponsoring one of our lovely ponies you will get:

• Information and a photo of the pony
• A bookmark for your latest book
• South Hants Pony & Horse Protection Group History

Plus during the year your sponsorship pony will send:

• A newsletter 4 times per year
• A birthday card
• And a Christmas card

So the next step is to decide which pony you want to sponsor!

Bramble (Blendworth Roberta)

Bramble was born in 1983!  She arrived with us in 1995 and has been a Sponsorhip pony for some time.  She loves having people around but needs to take it easy these days both due to her age and her health.

Pocket Pony

Pocket is a very cheeky miniature shetland.  He was born in 2003 and has been with us since he was 6 months old.  His favourite activity is rolling in his feed bucket and his party trick is trying to roll the bucket onto his head!

Smokey

Smokey is a Welsh Section A x Hackney who was born in 1986.  In his life he has done everything but is now enjoying a leisurely life at Oaklands, due to his health.  Smokey has respiratory problems so needs expensive medication every day.  He has a wonderful nature and loves being made a fuss of!
